September 2007
Dear Senior Parents:
For many of us, this is our first student to graduate, for others it could be our last. Either way with so much to remember, we would like to provide some facts on one of many important dates to remember, "Grad Night" on June 5, 2008.
"Grad Night" takes place after the graduation ceremony. It begins at 10:30pm and runs until 5:00am at Cal Skate. Students check in from 10:30 pm to midnight. Students are allowed to leave, but not re-enter. Committees of PVHS senior parents put on the party at an average cost of $85 per student. The party is funded with private (parent) donations, ticket sales, and community support. Nearly a year of planning, preparations, and fundraising takes place before the doors open that night.
The event features entertainment, games, music, prizes and --of course food! Only PVHS seniors are invited to attend, but first they must purchase a ticket. Ticket prices are only $30 thru December 1. Ticket prices will be $40 from December 2-May 16 and will be $50 from May 17- June 5th. Ticket cost will cover everything at the party and tickets purchased prior to May 17th guarantee each ticket holder a T-shirt. Grad Night offers our seniors a chance to celebrate and have fun with their friends in a "safe and sober" environment.
Tickets can be ordered and donations made, by mail using the online Printable Order Form or on our website [www.PVgradnight.org].
To learn more about what's being planned or to be a part of the committee watch the Viking Voice for notices about Grad Night Committee meetings. We need your help now with planning or as a chaperone the night of the party. These are "our kids" we are keeping safe, so we hope all of you will do what you can and have the satisfaction of knowing you did your part.
If you have any questions about Grad Night, please feel free to e-mail me or join us at our next meeting in the PVHS Library. Thank You.
